Galvalin Weyr was never planned for, but then no soul on Pern could have anticipated a small group of Timers suddenly dropping into Pern from an alternative timeline; still, it did happen and now, it's up to time to see how they will cope. Both the Timers and Pern itself. Set in a setting in which Ruth was never born and Jaxom of Ruatha never Impressed, Galvalin Weyr is on the edge of the Tenth Pass with a lot of drama still to unfold.
And you all thought nothing could be more exciting than the Ninth Pass...
Welcome to the Tenth Pass
When Ruth had never been born and Jaxom really never did impress. When Thread is still a threat and where things are more than just a little bit crazy. Things are fine though, and Pern gets along just as it always had been. There is, until Benden managed to get a few unexpected visitors. Visitors who came in bulky but damaged suits claiming that they had come from another timeline. Visitors who have their heads, perhaps, not completely on their shoulders.
Still, there was no other Weyr who would claim this group of ten odd riders as their own. And they were determined that they were from Benden, which surely couldn't be right.
So. How do you deal with a lot of riders having gone crazy?
You send them away of course. For their own good, and to make sure that the rest of Pern doesn't talk.
The Harsh Life
It wasn't really a banishment. Help was sent along with the 'Timers', and the Southern Weyr was all together willing to help out with supporting the new Weyr. So instead, a new Weyr was created, settled into the barren and harsh landscapes of the Western Continent. To create a Weyr unlike any other.
Forced to adapt to the difference in landscapes, Galvalin Weyr would shape up to be a truly unique Weyr in just a matter of months, even with an egg heavy Queen and a relatively small force. As of everything else however... That's all up to time to tell now.

Latest News
The Golden Queen has just clutched, and isn't all together too happy with the results. Loosing a total of six eggs, she's left with the clutch of fifteen, but would all of them even make it?
There's also the news of another gold being transferred into the Weyr form Benden as well, and the Queen is certainly not happy about that. Tension is bound to crop up, especially if talks of these happen to be true!
