History: Lu's mother was a wander and would travel through out the world. She met an airbender at the Southern Air Temple, they fell in love and they decided to live a happy life together. Lu Peng was born in July on the 23rd. He grew up in the Air Temple his mother and father teaching him about the basics of living how to walk, eat, and other things. Lu grew up happy, healthy, and was very active in the school and the games all the children played.
At the very young age of five Lu's mother, Chun Peng, left him and his father. All she said was in a note Lu carries in his bag it reads: 'Dear Jin and Lu, I am sorry that you must receive this by a note, but it must happen anyway. I am leaving, I can't stay in one place for to long. I must go on I still love you both, but it is just to much for me I need to move on.' Lu grew up hating his mother for leaving him with his father, who after his mother left, became angry and unforgiving. The years after his mother left were filled with pain and suffering. Lu did not do well in school and was actually moved back in his air bending training.
Lu's father was later banished from the Temple when Lu was about at the age of nine. Jin became very angry when he caught Lu looking at the letter and even threatened to kill Lu if he would ever read it again. Lu was scared and did not know what to do. So he went to the Council of Elders and they had Jin banished and the words that Lu's father said still haunt Lu to this day.
Lu grew up under the care of a Monk Fang. Fang became a mentor to Lu. The monk taught Lu about the peaceful ways of the Air Nomads and at the age of twelve the Council gave Lu a master to teach him. Monk Fang took Lu under his care and taught him all he knew about bending and the ways of the Monks. Everyday he would train hard and learn new things to help him get his arrows. Once Monk Fang requested Lu get his arrows they refused and told Fang Lu was not ready for them. Months Lu was awake in the early morning training and meditating for hours.
Finally it all paid off after eight long years of training he finally received his arrows. He got his arrows and now has a dream of becoming a Monk like his mentor Fang. Lu then received a letter that shocked him, but he felt no pity for it. The letter was short and contained some info about his mother it said she was murdered in on her way to an Earth Kingdom Village and that her body was found by the villagers who buried her. It also explained how she had a journal on her person that gave in great detail about her family in the Air Temple.
Fang died of old age which hit Lu hard. He mourned his death for a year and even made the Monk his own grave near the Temple in a nice secluded area.Every now and then Lu will visit it and meditate there. The Temple has been attacked by the other Nations. The people of the Temple are able to defend them off, but the only thing Lu will did during the attacks was defend the Temple no one was killed while he was defending. The attacks have been constant now, more of his people are being killed and his beliefs are becoming more hard to follow with war all around him.
