Fajra was at it again, of course no one else knew that. To them right now she was “Bandit” the renegade hero who had a habit of getting in trouble with the law. It’s not like she had done anything wrong this time, she was stopping a theft by arrogant thieves and “Bandit” Was being labelled as the bad guy. As usual this annoyed Fajra but she wouldn’t let it get to her, right now she had to run. Between dodging people in the shops and trying to avoid anything on her blind side Fajra managed to get away from the fire nation soldiers simply by hopping into a tree.
Fajra held her breathe as they Soldiers looked around under the tree she was sitting in and held very still. When they finally decided to give up Fajra took off her bandana. Her Scythe was hook around a branch and she carefully unhooked it before folding the blade to make her Scythe look more like a staff. She took off her eye patch and shoved it into her pocket along with her bandana. Knowing her own nations soldiers, they wouldn’t pay attention if Fajra walked into town wearing the same thing the Bandit had. But Fajra knew better. She was just glad her jacket was reversible, so instead of the blood red it was before she took it off and switched it so the pitch black side was showing. She put it back on and un-tucked her shirt from her pants. It was the simple things that could throw the law enforcement of your trail and Fajra was a master at it.
Fajra hopped out of her tree and walked back into town using her scythe as staff to lean on. If she looked like she couldn’t run, everyone would look right past her because Bandit ran very quickly. Nobody even looked at her as she walked over to the fountain and she knew a lot of the older people and even some of the kids her age averted her gaze. Fajra couldn’t blame them but it still irked her to be shunned, not only at home, but in public as well. She brought her goggles down over her eyes as she walked over to the Fire Fountain. She sat down on the edge of it and watched the fire rain down, not once did it touch her or burn her. Fajra knew she could bend but in public, or at home, she couldn’t. It was her own secret and she didn’t need any more unnecessary attention drawn to her or her family. She was the black sheep of the Ausra’s and Fajra secretly loved it.

Kasumi had entered Fire Fountain city to gather some supplies for her voyage to the Earth Kingdom. She would miss some of the people here. She had made the fire nation her home and had even taken a new name and appearance. The name she had acquired was Atsuko and she wore a red kimono matching fire nation attire. Their was only one person here who truly knew who she was. It was the infamous bandit of the Fire Fountain city. Surprisingly, the way they met was not in good terms. She was using waterbending and the Bandit had caught her in the act. To preserve her identity she bend the water and trapped Fajra in ice. She was planning to turn her in until they came to an understanding, she would not turn the bandit in and would aid her in avoiding getting caught, if she kept her mouth shut about her bending.
Somehow the odd partnership became a friendship. Soon enough on her spare time she was helping the bandit evade the fire nation soldiers because she desired to. Then she would continue along with her day at the small village she lived in. The Bandit did not know exactly her purpose being here but she remained her friend. Fajra was loyal and so was she. One day she would tell her of her secret or Fajra would discover it on her own and hopefully she would still accepted her as she is.

Fajra watched two old women walk past and whisper. She narrowed her eyes at them and it just made them scamper off faster. It’s not like she was a bastard child, she just had a fluke gene that made her different. The fire in the fountain behind her seemed to grow stronger with her rage and Fajra reminded herself to control her anger. She was a stronger bender when she was angry but she was a controlled bender when she was calm. She didn’t want her anger and rage to start a fire, it would only draw more attention towards her and Fajra did not want that.
Looking over the people around her she picked out a certain water bender that she knew. Of course no one else knew Atsuko was a water bender just like no one knew Fajra was a fire bender... or the bandit for that matter. Atsuko had trapped Fajra in the ice and she had managed to make an agreement with her. Atsuko wouldn’t turn in Fajra and she would help Bandit get out of messes with the Law. It was a win win situation. No one knew about Atsuko’s bending and Fajra didn’t get turned into the Police.
”Oi, Atsuko!” Fajra said getting up and dusting herself off before taking her scythe/staff and fake limping her way over to her oddly found friend. Fajra didn’t expect the partnership to turn into a friendship but sure enough it did and Fajra couldn’t be happier. At least Atsuko wasn’t an overly pompous gossipy girl like every other person in the village and she didn’t seem to stare to much at Fajra’s eyes. Fajra raised her goggles so they rested on top of her head instead of on her eyes.
”What brings you to the city today?” Fajra asked leaning on her staff and standing in Atsuko’s way. She noticed some people were staring at her but most just went on about their everyday business as usual

Kasumi heard her named being called and she turned to lay her turquoise eyes on Fajra, who was limping to her. She wanted to laugh but she knew that it would draw suspicion to them both. Not that their friendship did not draw attention already but it did not matter to her. After all she was quite a powerful waterbender, her skills were those of a master, if they decided to harm them she could easily take them on. She greeted her with a warm smile and once Fajra stepped in front of her. She faked offered to help her walk since everyone else was to busy avoiding her. She knew the reason people shunned her was for her eyes but in fact she thought they were beautiful and unique.
If she did not have them she would not be the Fajra she knew. "I am gathering supplies for a journey" She answered Fajra. It was her time to leave she had learned how to bloodbend and a few other tricks. She could now set out with her new conquest of finding the avatar. She could still practice her bloodbending during her travel and improve her waterbending still. "Maybe, once your ready. I can take you along when I visit you" She added.
It would be fun to travel with Fajra, knowing her situtions it would be hard for her to just leave now. After all she was 26, no one had authority over her though her small sized and youthful appearance would say otherwise. Fajra was taller then her and often made her seem little younger then her. It was actually quite funny. If their not staring at Fajra's eyes they were dumbfounded by her diminutive size.
(Sorry I took long)

Fajra smiled and took Atsuko up on her fake offer to help Fajra walk easier. Fajra was a good actress when it came to having physical ailments and she even managed to get out of a few diner parties by faking sick. People were staring at them but this wasn’t the first time they had met in public, or with Fajra limping her way around being supported by a seemingly normal staff. But just like her limp, the staff was fake. Her staff was her scythe and it was also her pride and joy, something she loved almost more than her own life.
"I am gathering supplies for a journey" Atsuko said and Fajra was so excite for Atsuko. She was going to go travel and meet new people and advance in ehr bending while Fajra would stay here and be The Bandit while she searched for a Fire bending teacher who wouldn’t tell her parents on her. No one knew about Fajra’s fire bending, not even Atsuko. Fajra didn’t tell anyone about it and she didn’t use it as Bandit. It would raise more rumours and gossip about her and Fajra didn’t need that. She honestly didn’t need the diner parties her mom through either but it was a chance for her sisters to get married off, Fajra wanted nothing to do with it.
"Maybe, once your ready. I can take you along when I visit you" Fajra was young but at the Idea of travelling it nearly mad eher start jumping up and down. Fajra wanted to get out of her village and be The Bandit somewhere else, somewhere where the needed the bandit ”I would love that Atsuko. I’d do anything to get away from my sisters” Fajra said thinking about the faces of her mother and sisters if she would disappear. It would either be of Joy or anger or possibly both but it didn’t matter to Fajra.
She was 16, practically and adult, and she could do whatever she wanted. ”So whats this Journey for?” Fajra asked extremely curious about why Atsuko was going to leave the village for. Fajra would miss her and The Bandit would miss her Aid during her escapes from the law.

Kasumi aided Fajra back to the fountain and sat down. Fajra was to good of an actress but she could not say much. She was pretending to be Atsuko of the fire nation. Fajra did not even know her water tribe name though she knew Fajra would have notice that Atsuko wasn't her name but a guise, just like the outfit she was wearing. Actually, she was planning to finally tell everything to Fajra. She had proven to be worthy of her trust.
”I would love that Atsuko. I’d do anything to get away from my sisters” Fajra said. "You can stand them for a little while more for me?" Kasumi said with a smile. She felt bad leaving her behind but she had to start looking. She had done what she aimed for here and she had a new purpose, now. Anyway, if Fajra just up and left now, people would wonder especially if Atsuko suddenly disappeared too.
”So whats this Journey for?” Fajra asked. Kasumi smiled and knew this would be exactly the perfect chance to tell her everything. "I am going to tell you everything Fajra, from why I stayed her to why I am leaving. We just need a more private place to speak." Kasumi said to Fajra. Even to her conveniences tonight was night of a full moon. Perfect day to come out with everything, she said in her head.
